This week, UVA and the School of Engineering lost a wonderful member of our community. Rehan Baddeliyanage, a fourth year biomedical engineering student, made an incredible impact on all of the organizations of which he was a part, including our Council, for which he served as an outstanding fundraising co-director on our board last year. We have lost a dear friend far too soon, and ESC is better off having known Rehan. We are all grieving and reflecting on how fortunate we are to have had Rehan in our lives, and our thoughts are with the UVA community, his friends, and his family. As Dean Guilford noted today, the engineering CAPS counselor has reserved the Rodman Room from 12-2pm on Monday as a space for students to commune and grieve, talk, and share stories about Rehan.
Voting in the E-School and University-wide elections begins TODAY and runs until 4pm Friday! Make your voice heard and vote online at uvavote.com! 🗳
